A Sense of Place

This gallery combines a collection of images that blend the physical characteristics of the landscape with a more emotional connection creating a strong sense of what it feels like to be there, immersed amongst the scene or setting and the mood that ultimately evokes. I have used a variety of different styles from literal and eyewitness to abstract and impressionistic to capture a sense of place from the remote and rural areas of the Highlands and Islands that I have either inhabited or spent extended periods of time in.

I have had the opportunity to forge deeply emotional connections to the places I have gradually connected to or inhabited over time.
